WHAT IS AFFORDABLE HOUSING?

Affordable housing is housing that is available to those who pay no more than 30% of their gross income, including utilities. Mountain View Lot 12 will include affordability for those earning between 30% to 60% Area Median Income. Of the 120 affordable apartment homes, 20 are reserved for formerly homeless households via the County of Santa Clara's Rapid Rehousing Program, 10 are reserved for Permanent Supportive Housing, and 15 are reserved for households with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

WHO ARE THE DEVELOPERS?

The City of Mountain View selected Related California and Alta Housing in May 2020 to develop the 1.5 acre site. Mountain View Lot 12 will include 5 stories and 120 affordable rental apartment homes transforming the City's current public parking lot into affordable housing. The development is expected to break ground in early 2026 and complete construction in late 2027.

ALTERNATIVE PARKING

As Mountain View Lot 12 breaks ground, cars will no longer have access to park on Lot 12.
